How did the Tiny House movement start?

Tiny Houses, or otherwise called mobile homes, appeared in the 1970s as a form of protest against growing urbanization and alarmingly high levels of consumption. It is not surprising that they appeared shortly after Generation 68, when they were adopted by the Hippie culture. In the following years, the Tiny House movement became popular, mainly thanks to pioneers like Jay Shafer and Dee Williams in the early 2000s. Today, the Tiny House movement has become a huge industry and market with tens of thousands of manufacturers and hundreds of thousands of users worldwide. Tiny House offers a diverse range of models with a variety of features, from the simplest to cutting-edge technology.
